Hello Doc Hightower,
I am an avid tennis player on the senior circuit. I have had right elbow pain for the better part of a year. It used to only hurt when I play, now it hurts all the time. I went to my family doctor who gave me some medicine (anti-inflammatory)and it put a dent in it but as soon as I stopped the pain came back. I have a tournament coming up. Should I give your laser a try, my friend says I should?
Old but active in Raleigh :=)
Dear Active (I couldn't bring myself to call you "old")
Since you have seen your MD for this condition I'll go with the diagnosis of lateral epicondylitis or tennis elbow. I suggest you come in and let me see if there are any contributing factors (such as dislocation of the radial head or impingement of the nerves in the neck that supply the elbow)which may be hindering your recovery.
It is more difficult to resolve injuries mid-season, as you continue to play. However, professional athletes do it all the time. One tool that many pro teams are using for mid-season injury resolution is the Litecure Laser, like we use in our office. It is very helpful for problems such as yours.
So, come on in or call the office at 919-873-2225 and schedule a consultation. We'll rule out or address any contributing factors then use the amazing Litecure laser to get you back on your game!
