Laser therapy for sinusitis

Hey Doc H, I always get stuffy and congested in the spring and fall. I take way too much Claritin which I'm sick of. Plus, the stuff is expensive. Can laser light do anything to get me feeling better or help me use less of the stuff?

Dear John, (Hey, my first "Dear John" letter!)
You are in luck. The Class 4 laser is a great tool for improving sinus health and relieving congestion. Relief happens rather fast so its fun to work with people like you who, I must assume, have suffered with the problem for a while.

Laser light, of the right wavelength and intensity, such as with the Lite Cure we use (Litecure.com) helps decrease sinus inflammation by stimulating the mitochondria of the cells lining the nasal passages. This specific energy basically kicks the cells into metabolic overdrive. What you will feel is, as one recent patient described it, "like it just melted the congestion away."

Like any therapy which works with the rhythms of the body, chronic conditions take a while longer to heal. Typically 12-15 visits are needed to resolve chronic sinusitis though you will feel relief much quicker than that.

Good Luck, John (if thats your real name ;) )
